Adela plays three instruments: the piano, cello, and the Chinese guzheng.

She has played the piano since age 5, the cello for around 5 years in high school, and the guzheng for an indefinite amount of time. In her free time she dabbles a bit on guitar and the otomatome.

Her life goal is to learn the Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto No. 2… so far she has learned about 1 minute of it. As mentioned in the front page, if you are interested in learning the duet version please please reach out!

Adela specializes in mobile development, with more in-depth knowledge on iOS over Android, though she can make apps in both. She also makes small websites on the side as well as manage sites and hosting for friends, family, and the occasional client.

For a more detailed background, check out her LinkedIn or technical resume.

Adela has a deep interest in East Asian languages. Having grown up in a bilingual household, she studied the Japanese language as well as Japanese history extensively throughout high school and university.

In 2009 she attended a Japanese immersion program through KCP International Language School, and in 2012 was awarded the Critical Language Scholarship for intensive Korean language study at Chonbuk National University. After returning she graduated from Berkeley with a Japanese and Korean minor.

Her favorite time periods are the Meiji Restoration, the era of Genghis Khan, and the Zhou dynasty.
